Journey
I felt my fangs retract slightly. Disappointment washed over me when I realized that we wouldn't get to fight it out any time soon. I shrugged it off, though, and lit another cigarette.
Spencer
Relief flowed through my muscles, relaxing them. The ground stopped shaking.

I pushed Wolfie off of me and grinned.
~Wolfie
I completely forgot about the vampire and shifted back into a human. "Max!" I yelped, putting my arms around him. "I haven't seen you in forever!" I kissed his cheek and then remembered I was about to fight a vampire.

Journey
I blew out the smoke and smirked over at Spencer. "Hey, Spence. How's it hangin'?"

I whipped back around to face the vampire. No surprise, she was smoking again. I rolled my eyes, knowing she saw, and turned back to Max, who was towering over me. I grinned up at him, remembering his beautiful eyes.....

Journey
The smoke filled my lungs and I breathed it back out. Suddenly a shadow fell over us and I looked up. Dark clouds covered the sun. I glanced over at Spencer and was slightly surprised to find her fuming.
Spencer
"You IDIOT! You don't smoke right by the barn! How stupid can you be?!" I yelled, hands shaking in anger.

I shifted back into my feral form and bounded for the cover of the barn. The sky was very dark, and I didn't know what was gonna happen. I looked out and saw Spencer, yelling at the vampire. I tilted my head as she shouted.

Spencer
Journey started to say something but I cut her off. "Just take my car wherever you were going, and do not stink it up with that smoke." I growled. She turned and left, slamming the car door just as the first raindrop fell.

I watched as the vampire left and shifted back into my human form. I walked slowly over to Spencer. "I'm sorry." I told her, running my hands through my hair. Max had disappeared to somewhere, and I took a deep breath, waiting for Spencer to chew me out for acting like I did.

Spencer
I was too mad at the both of them to say anything. With a clap of thunder, the rain began pouring down. I was drenched, but I didn't care. I spun on my heel and walked away, disappearing into the heavy rain.
Journey
I rolled down the window and lit a cigarette. Spencer would kill me if her car smelled like smoke. I pulled into the city just as the rain began pouring down. Crap. Now no one would be out and about. This just made my search ten times harder.

I sighed and contemplated following her. I decided not to, and, soaked, headed off somewhere unknown.

Journey
I parked the car and got out, scanning the streets for any sign of life. A figure ran for the shelter of the diner, but other than that, the streets were empty. I slowly prowled forward, using my enhanced vision to see through the pouring rain. Something moved in the corner of my vision and I turned toward an alley way. Someone was there, I could sense them. I stalked over, already excited at the thought of finally getting human blood. As I drew closer, though, I could tell that something was wrong. The human was staring right at me, not the slightest bit scared. In fact, he just looked amused. A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. A wind kicked up and I could smell him now. He wasn't human, he was a vampire. My fangs came out, I was no doubt weaker than him, but that wouldn't stop me. His smirk angered me, and I would not back down to him.

I had wandered into town, hoping to find something to do, maybe a bar. I saw a slightly familiar face, the vampire, walk down a dark alley. I followed silently, trying to figure out what she was doing. There was a man down in the alley, another vampire. I shrank back into the shadows, hoping they wouldn't see me. I knew this was going to end badly, most likely for me.

Journey
He didn't move, but I could see his fangs elongate. He'd had human blood recently, I could feel his power from several feet away. Even in danger, my eyes still scanned his body. It was natural teenage girl instinct. He had a muscular body, his wet t-shirt clung to his body, displaying defined abs and pectorals. His black hair was soaked, as was mine. As I slowly approached, I could begin to see his icy blue eyes. "Who are you?" I asked, straightening up. I hadn't even realized that I had gotten into a defensive position. My fangs still hadn't retracted, and I was still wary of the stranger. "Who are you?" He shot back, that irritating smirk still on his face. I was stressed, but it was raining, so I couldn't even attempt to light a smoke. I just ran a hand through my soaked hair, trying to release a little of the tension in my shoulders.

A huge rat ran across my foot and I gasped, snapping my hand to my mouth. I peeked out from my hiding spot and saw the vampires staring at my spot. I shrunk back, hoping they thought nothing of it. I was wrong. I heard footsteps in my direction. I shrank back as far as I could, hoping they wouldn't see me. I decided to use my wings as cover, unfolding them and using their darkness to cover me.

Journey
I heard a noise from behind me and walked over to where I had heard it, keeping my eyes on the stranger the entire time. As I was nearing the spot where I had heard the noise, a huge, HUGE rat ran out toward me before veering out toward the road. I once again wished it wasn't raining so I could smoke, but I'd just have to deal. I strode back over to where I was standing before, facing that guy.
